NLRB’s Joint Employer Rule Faces Legal Challenge
On October 27, 2023, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) published a new rule, “Standard for Determining Joint Employer Status.”
On November 9, 2023, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas challenging the rule.
On November 16, 2023, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) announced it was delaying the effective date of this new rule to February 26th. You can read more about the rule here.
UPDATE! On February 22, 2024, the rule was delayed again. The next scheduled effective date is March 11, 2024.
