FREE WEBCAST! Shaping Public Policy – The DOL’s Proposed Overtime Rule

Deja vu all over again. In 2016, Ms. Walters testified before the U.S. House Committee on Small Business on behalf of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) regarding the then proposed new overtime rule.

On September 8th, the U.S. Department of Labor published a proposed rule to again change the overtime rule. The last update was in 2020. Comments are due by November 7th.

This program will review highlights of the proposed rule, the potential impact and implications for employers, and tips for drafting talking points to respond to the DOL’s requests for comments, including:

  • what changes are being proposed;
  • what portions of the existing regulations will not change;
  • at least seven (7) questions for which the U.S. DOL is seeking comments; and
  • options and next steps for employers’ responses.

NEWLY ADDED
: We will also provide a high-level overview of the U.S. EEOC’s proposed rule on “Enforcement Guidance on Harassment in the Workplace.”  Those comments are due by November 1st!!

This program is pre-approved by SHRM for 1.5 credits and by HRCI for 1.5 business credits. This event is FREE! Click here to register.
