Trick or Treat: 10/31 is Last Day to Use “Old” Form I-9
Be sure you are prepared to begin using the new Form I-9 by November 1, 2023. On August 1st, US CIS published an updated Form I-9 with the 08/01/2023 edition date in the lower left corner of the form.
Remember the announcement on July 21, 2023, that DHS also issued a new rule that enables employers who are using E-Verify in good standing to complete Form I-9 via remote inspection.
