SCOTUS to Hear OSHA and CMS Vax Mandate Challenges
On December 22, 2021, the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) issued a schedule announcing it would hear cases filed against the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) challenging their vaccine mandates.
On December 17, it was reported that the nationwide stay had been lifted and OSHA’s rule was back in play pending SCOTUS’ ruling.
On December 15th, it was also reported that CMS’ rule was blocked from implementation in 25 states.
SCOTUS has scheduled oral arguments on both cases for January 7, 2022. On an amusing side note, the court has limited the time allotted to one hour total. Imagine that! Attorneys having to be succinct! Stay tuned.
