EEO-1 Component 1 Filing Deadline is December 5th
This is a quick follow up to the September 13th article. If you have not yet filed your report, you have just a few days left.
The EEOC has published more FAQ’s since the prior article. A second and third FAQ were published on October 31st. Together, the three publications comprised more than 70 pages of information.
Who must file?
- Private sector employers subject to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 that employ 100 or more employees during an employer-selected pay period in the fourth quarter (i.e., October 1 through December 31) of the reporting year (i.e., 2022). This may include two smaller employers that are joint employers. For example, if an employer (e.g., a parent corporation) has only 30 employees but owns two separate subsidiaries each with 35 employees, the parent corporation must file EEO-1 Component 1 reports for its two subsidiaries since together they comprise a single enterprise with 100 employees.
- Certain private sector employers that are prime or subcontractors with 50 or more employees may also be required to file.
