In 2021, AARP reported that nearly 80% of “older” employees they surveyed said they had witnessed or experienced age discrimination in the workplace. Last year, age discrimination lawsuits were filed against employers by employees, former employees, and the U.S. EEOC. These issues also attracted Congress’ attention with consideration of the Protecting Older Workers Against Discrimination Act. And some “big name” headlines continue into 2022.
