Shaping Public Policy: The DOL’s Proposed IC Rule and Other Advocacy Opps

On Thursday, October 13th, the U.S. Department of Labor published a proposed rule for classifying workers as independent contractors v. employees. The deadline for notice and comment is December 13th.

On September 6, 2022, the National Labor Relations Board published a proposed rule for determining when two companies might be joint employers. The deadline for notice and comment is now December 7th.
