HR & the Law for Managers Series: Module 5 – Managing Disability and Leave in Today’s Workplace: Part I: The ADA

This program is designed for managers, supervisors and emerging HR professionals. It will provide a basic overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Topics will include and are not limited to:

  • Employers’ two key duties
  • Employees’ rights and responsibilities
  • Key terms defined
  • Engaging in an interactive dialogue (when, how and who)
  • Using human resources as a firewall
  • Overlap with FMLA, workers compensation, state and local leave laws
