HR’s New Bermuda Quadrangle: FFCRA, ADA, FMLA & State/Local Paid Leave Mandates (Members Only)

From COVID-19 to opioid addition, today’s workplace requires employers to balance flexible staffing models with business demands for productivity. As the U.S. labor market becomes more diverse, the economic tides continue to churn and work/life integration becomes increasingly important, as this balancing act becomes more and more challenging for employers. Join this interactive and virtual event (including “live” polling questions with Q & A) as we review of some of the current challenges and proactive strategies employers are using to craft policies, procedures, and practices that balance the sometimes competing demands of employees’ and employers’ needs and interests for modified work schedules with medical, family, religious, military and other needs.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to:

1. compare and contrast leave obligations under the ADA, FFCRA and FMLA;
2. Describe how state and local leave mandates impact #1;
3. Give a high-level overview of some national legislative and regulatory trends impacting leave practices; and
4. what may be on the horizon for 2021.
